How do we improve attendances?

The clubs needs a proper campaign management strategy, drawing up and executing with absolutely commitment/focus. I've mailed Smurf with respect of my thoughts being a leader in this field for a large blue chip. They've collected bucket loads of data on supporters over recent years, yet we don't do an awful lot with it OR at least that's what I hear.

 

Does the club proactively contact lapsed season ticket holders - 1 to 1 over the phone, to discuss offers on at the club? Either now or in preparation to the next season ticket instalments offer which is very much round the corner... I'm sure you could get a group volunteers to support such activities...

 

Does the club use purchase data to drive offers?

 

Does the club utilise other market data to gain new fans? A number of you have mentioned areas whereby this could benefit....

 

This is a little like running an election campaign of sorts, you have to awaken people's interest, being relevant and visionary :)

The simple answer to this is that our attendances match our fan base. We aren't going to attract new young fans while Stoke are in the Premier Legaue. The merchandise alone that Stoke give away for free to schools etc in the area is probably more than we actually sell throughout the whole the season.

Another thing that could help is we could all exaggerate how good we are and make out that the Vale are the best team EVER, instead of moaning about how bad we are. Surely that would work
