For the life of me,I will never understand why Man.City would think that announcing the departure of their current manager with 14 PL matches,plus cup games still to play,was a good idea?
Should have had a word with Norman, who would have advised an exclusivity deal with their new manager.:)

They didn't announce it, he did (admittedly with the club's blessing)

Very good signing for next season in Joel Matip confirmed by Liverpool today. Anyone who watches or has any interest in football outside of this country will know full well he's one of the top centre-halves in the Bundesliga, and at 24 years of age his best if yet to come. With the signing of Marko Grujic, one of the most sought after young midfielders in Europe, the side is already taking shape for the next campaign.

I'd say so. He's been a great servant to the club though, and came through a sticky start to his Liverpool career where he got a considerable amount of flack from some quarters. Liverpool would still need to replace him though as we don't really have another ball-winner in the squad in the middle of the park.

Really? Well, Matip isn't a household name I guess and you'll only know about him if you have any interest whatsoever in the Bundesliga. But he's a no nonsense defender that will suit the game over here and should have little problems adapting. Grujic was wanted by pretty much every top club in Europe but choose Liverpool perhaps because he can get in the 1st eleven more quickly than at some other top clubs.

Liverpool have seen off interest from home and abroad to sign Matip, with Newcastle and Sunderland among those linked previously.

 

All those big top clubs....
