M6 Roadworks

Your choice, at least I hope it is - if you are unable to get there for other reasons, then my apologies.

I am looking forward to seeing the new players when I can make it, roadworks or not.

As I have stated many times previously...I work every Saturday..the logistics make attendance impossible

To be fair. I live on the Wirral which is dissected by the M53 serving circa half a million residents plus visitors. The south end of this motorway is about to undergo two years of roadworks to create a hard shoulder lane. This will increase the capacity of the two lane road south of junction 5 to the M56 by 50%, so it is worth the effort. For example flow to Cheshire Oaks will be much improved. Sometimes we just have to be patient.

I go through a section of the M60 every day (around the Trafford Centre area) that has a 50mph limit and i don't think I've ever seen a single worker.

Not offering a defence to what you say. But roadworks have inherent delay in project management caused by natural logistics. For example road surface materials must be obtained from quarries and delivered to site. Key workers standing around waiting. Materials put in place like concrete have to set. Works may to be carried out on a critical path in project management terms and not in parallel etc. Fix bridges first etc? And so the years go by.

I had never seen you post that you work Saturdays, I did remember you posting about going to Yeovil so maybe that made me think otherwise - doesn't matter.

In any case I don't subscribe to the competitive thing about 'who attends most games is the best fan' as there are many reasons different people may to be able to attend a game.

No doubt we will have to move games for Stoke - there are at least 2 that clash - so there might be some Friday or sunday games or a tempting Tuesday night game in freezing fog in February with 3300 other brave souls.
