I'd imagine that most Brits who live abroad could afford a flight and match ticket if they wanted to come and see their team play - so I'm not really sure what the point of this is!

Seriously ! What about travelling to and from the nearest airport ?. When I came for the Northampton game I got no change out of 400 euros,I could only get to Gatwick

You are having a laugh right? I work abroad, my choice, no worries, and from August will be in Uzbekistan. So I finish work on Friday fly back to watch Vale on Saturday and then back on Sunday to go to work....never mind the cost I wouldn't be knackered or anything, much...if all the flights actually happened or were on time. So I'll stop supporting the Vale shall I?

I can afford a flight. In fact my missus works for an airline. It's not the point. It would be great for a Vale fan to win, but it's not the winning it's the taking part. :)

I think you misinterpret my comments. I'm saying it seems pointless to give a freebie to people who can most likely afford it anyway.

Sure you'd be knackered by the time and effort spent coming over, but that's going to the the same whoever is picking up the bill!

Yep, I wondered what the point is, I anticipate to be bombarded with e-mails and heaven knows what from many different sources.

I can afford a flight and I do make the trip at least once a year and time my trips to take in as many Vale games as possible and buy tickets and stuff from the club shop for myself and my kids who wear the shirts/shorts etc around Massachusetts with pride to get the word out about the Vale and S-o-T in general.

Money always comes into the equation but if I won, I don't expect to, it would mean I could travel to see the Vale one additional time next year and meet up one additional time with my mate who I've been going to the Vale with off and on for 55 years, go for a proper beer before and after the match and have a reyt good time.

Yeah try doing the 24 hour plus flight from the centre of Australia for less than £1500...

It costs me £2,000 for a return trip, on average about 30+ hours each way... would I do it to watch a Vale match?... I did once and the match was cancelled... sods law.... can I afford it?.. yes... if I couldnt I wouldnt do it.... would I refuse it if I won... NO
