In some ways Sunday's result matters not now that we are safe but it would be nice to finish with a bit of a flourish.

I can really only recall Dodd's demolition of Morecambe as a positive end to our home campaign in recent years.

Alternatively, I can remember a few dreadfully dour home defeats in the sunshine, usually to Northampton Town.

Fleetwood are hard to beat and organised and strong so I'm not expecting fireworks.

It could, of course, be the last chance we get to see some players in a Vale shirt, new or otherwise.

I hope he does but just watch him play all the old guard

Could we read anything by his team selection in who will be leaving / staying?

Might as well give a few of the young lads a chance to prove themselves while there is less pressure on them TBH.

I doubt he'll play any youngsters. We've got about 20 first team pros so I'm expecting him to play most of them, particularly the few who might be leaving.

Will Page know his future before Sunday?

It said on the Sentinel today he was expecting to find out his future in the next couple of days, so touch and go I guess.

Sounds like he might get told before Saturday.

Whatever happens we need to hit the floor running this pre-season and try and get some players signed up before they've all gone! Don't repeat last year's mistakes. We need a squad in place before pre-season to bed everyone in and adopt our new Barcelona style of play.;)

Above all else I expect Page will want to finish with a win and expect him to start with what he considers his strongest eleven.

If we get a decent lead going into the last 20 minutes we may get a couple of 'possibles' given a run out.

On a different topic who remembers the pre seasons where the match was 'Probables' v 'Possibles'
