I'm certainly old enough to remember him as a keeper. He was decent. A little suspect in the air, as most teams knew. As a player I will have good memories of him. As a coach, no.

 

I think it is the club's responsibility to recognise long service, and reward it (or not) as they see fit. I think testimonials should only be on offer to players that have had their careers cut short by injury.

Personally I sat on the fence, because I didn't have reliable info about the truth of what was going on, but remember that a huge majority voted Miller and Deakin as ok without knowing the full facts.

I expect Mark Grew was doing the job he was paid for, not getting involved with the politics or trying to start witch-hunts years later like you.

I don't think a huge majority of fans voted for Miller and Deakin, simply the huge shareholding of the then board members, all the fans shares paled into insignificance in comparison.
