Page must go no question about that because anyone who constantly selects Williamson as a lone front man needs his bumps feeling.

 

The problem is that would Smurthwaite bring in a decent experienced manager who won't allow the Chairman to dictate everything. Personally I think not because I fear that the club's owner thinks he knows best!

 

The Manager should be given his budget then he should be allowed to sign anyone he wants within this budget. After all it is ultimately his head which is on 'the block'

 

I am very disillusioned by our owner, yes he 'saved us' but how long must we keep paying him homage?

Their goalie had nothing to do , they were the worst side I have seen down the vale this season . Apart from the team they beat today.

The last thing to do is a mass dropping of your experienced players at a time like this.

 

Young legs with talent in midfield with old man Brown supporting them would be a start.

 

The big worry is this is not a time for a novice Manager either. Page's starting eleven against bottom 4 clubs at home have been incredibly negative. The failure to replace Innis until the last day of loans is a poor decision by the Chairman.

 

Fans have lost faith in the Manager and players that's pretty clear.

 

Even if we get a win at Scunny or Yeovil the way you end a season often dictates how you start the next.

 

Personally think this team's confidence is as shot now as when Micky left.

 

It's not too late to act. We need a win and even I am struggling to see where the current set up will get that.

 

I am sick of the boll ox that comes out of the club staff like Grew and if Norman wasn't so arrogant he would have appointed an experienced Director of Football yonks ago.

 

But he would say that it would cut the playing budget .... but Norman it wouldn't if you really do have the money to get this club into the Championship.

We have a manager who is an absolute joke & has more spin than lee sinnott (another appaling appointment)

 

We have players who frankly have some of the worst attitudes ive seen

 

We have young talent who "pagey" refuses to give a chance to, we have had more loans than barclays bank & they rarely get played.

 

Time for fans to rise....absolutely but against Norman smurthwaite & his chummy pal pagey.

Birchall - Improved slightly as the seasons gone on but doesn't offer much.

Dickinson - works hard with a lot of passion but not much else.

Yates - simply can't defend and gives the ball away cheaply.

Williamson - runs for days but has very little end product.

If this truly is the best we can do then we might well be looking at a relegation fight.

Agree about Dickinson but who has shown they are good enough to tie down a shirt when they have come on?

 

Daniel, the lad from Brizzle, Campion, et al none have played well enough to ensure they had to be kept in the side.

 

The whole back 4 whoever has played including Veselli have been abysmal.

There is so many things wrong at the club at the moment that relegation is a real possibility:

1.The Defence

This has been woeful all season bar when Innis arrived and yet the coaches/managers have failed to address the problem

2.Signings

I really struggle to understand our transfer policy, we sign players then don't start them or use them.

3.Subs

Our subs are so predictable it's untrue, also why do we always have to wait until we are behind before we make changes

4.Campion

Now if the lad is not good enough to start at 23 will he ever be surely he could offer as much as Williamson is currently and why have we extended his contract when we won't play him

5.Glover

How he has found his way back involved is criminal and our recent performances have his hallmark all over them, get rid of him now

6.Set pieces

Marshall is a good lad but he can not take a corner to save his life,countless times we fail to beat the first man or just put it straight to the keeper, why not rotate the takers during the game. Also when we defend corners can we not leave some upfront does every player need to defend, why not leave pacey players like Marshall upfront.

7.Lack of quality/effort

At the moment we have some players going through the motions and then some who just aren't up to lg1 football(Yates,Birchall,Williamson)

Just before we get over excited about Smurf and "Pagey" out, I suspect that there won't be a big queue of new owners just waiting to snap up an average League 1 team with frankly quite average fans. None of us are coming out of this well, including the fans. Anyway let's ask propspective new owners and managers to form an orderly queue shall we.............

As ive said before just because he has £££ doesnt mean he knows what hes doing with a football club.

 

While fans were hanging out of his backside in the crown many who had experienced normans ways were raising concerns....those chickens are coming home to roost now on & off field.

 

ST sales are embarrassing & do you think they are going to improve??? haha not a chance. But hey we can soldier on until norm gets fed up of pouring his money into a blackhole & then it will be too late to take action.
