After todays dross performance I am willing to say I was wrong about Page. I do not think he has what it takes. His team selection and tactics are just purely negative. One player up front and that being one of the most out of form strikers in this league at the moment is just simply unacceptable. Poor Poor tactics. As for Dickinson, I hope his contract is terminated the overpaid s***.

Did anyone look at his attempts at jumping for the ball ? If he was an old car I would have said the distributor had slipped. His timing is absolutely awful.

He cant time his jumps

I'm thinking part of the reason he keeps getting picked is that Page thinks that he is a good player in training.That may well be the case and he does look good in training and scores goals in training.But the real reason that he looks so good in training is because he is playing against the Vale defenders who are crap which make him look better than he actually is.

I just found the whole experience depressing, right from when I saw the team Page started with. Too negative whilst not really doing anything to shore up our chronic defending. Mr Page got what he asked for but will he learn?

Rubbish team selection influenced by tactics built around the fear of losing in my opinion. And we're at home to a side second from bottom in the league! For God's sake we only went for it when we were a goal down. Stupid, illogical tactics - and why didn't Coulibaly start? We could have and should have murdered them with 2 wingers and Pope in the middle - even if "he's not right" he is 10 times better than the alternatives especially with decent service.

 

I'll be missing the MK and Preston games due to holiday - thank the lord - as I fear the worst but knowing Vale we will probably beat them (said more in hope than anything else)
