The standard of fullbacks from Premier League down is poor. Without being outstanding Yates must have seen off half a dozen players signed as replacements during Adams time with the club. There are a load worse fullbacks at this club than Yates and plenty worse playing regularly at other clubs in this league. Not a world beater, but he is a player some fans seem to love to vilify, maybe because of a poor first few games or maybe because he was really a Glover signing. If Adam Yates is the biggest problem at this club I'd have a grand on us going up.
