Only way Yates to off to Sheffield is to go shopping at Meadowhall!!!!!

HaHa that was my thinking too! Maybe he impressed them by helping them get through the snow after the Boxing Day game?! :laugh:

Seriously, I'll be amazed if this turns out to be true but if it is I wish him all the best - it'd be a fantastic move for him.

I like Yates, he's played nearly 200 games for the Vale. So for people to say they hope he does go is just disrespectful. I cant remember Matty Carragher, Andy Hill and Simon Mills playing that many games for the Vale..

Why is it disrespectable? He's not good enough for league 1 been saying it all season. It's only when we lose that others seems to realise.

Taken off twitter ;

Having secured Freddie Veseli permanently, Port Vale are happy to let Adam Yates join Sheffield United #PVFC #SUFC #Blades

Hope this isn't true. I think he's done globally well this season and he is consistent.

This has as much truth in it as me signing Messi

I think we should have a weekly questions for The Chairman but then what would you do with no speculation SMURF

You're not seriously saying that Yates is comparable to (or even better than??) Andy Hill or Simon Mills?! :blink: :doh:

(Carragher is probably more like it.......I never thought that he was a particularly good right-back either)

Andy Hill was magic, he had the savvy as if a young winger out paced his old legs, he stopped him and he got the foul for us...

I,d still miss Yates 9 times out of 10 he puts a good shift in...apart from Neal, who else earns his corn regularly.

How on earth is it disrespectful?

Most people simply want better for the club or should we have kept all the team that finished 18th in league 2 before Adams worked his magic?
