Would you accept Ched Evans at our club?

Simple question really, given our history of taking players with criminal records, would you like Ched Evans at our club?

 

Lee Hughes proved in my view that these players can reform and offer things to the community. Whilst I don't condone any of the actions of such individuals, we have a justice system that allows individuals to continue their re-abbilitation as a free man.

 

I think he would be potentially a very useful addition, but would people accept him?

Simple answer, yes- he's a very good player at our level (if he hasn't lost it) and he's served his time

Its not just signing the player.....It all its baggage it carries.....So sorry its a no from me.

I assume Vale fan`s views would be known before that happened, and thus Smurf would know the risks of signing him.

He ought to be able to re start his career, but not here, thanks. All the baggage (as Jimmy rightly says) he carries would mean more harm than good to our Club, which is , let's face it, having enough problems attracting fans in the first place. If he finds a Club willing to take it all on, then as far as I'm concerned ok to him and then. Let them share the flak.
