England begin their qualifiers for Euro 2016 with a tough game against Switzerland in Basel on Monday night.

Danny Welbeck is expected to replace the injured Daniel Sturridge in attack.

I'll be satisfied with a point,how about you?

England squad is lacking in experience and the defense is a liability, would have liked to have seen Gerrard in the team but I respect his decision. Sturridge is a big loss but we have the players to play on the counter and am hoping for at least a draw. Shaquiri is a tremendous player and should be man marked.

The Swiss are a very ordinary but organized side with one or two very good players, Shaqiri being one of them. But that's more than enough to give us a heck of a game. That said, I just fancy us to nick it tomorrow, perhaps 1-2. Though a 0-0 draw really wouldn't surprise me either.

Worryingly and actually more alarmingly this should be an easy game, but it won't be because we are so rubbish. Mainly because of that idiot running the side helped by the dinosaurs running the fa.

 

I won't be happy with a draw as I think we should be beating the Swiss. Do I think we will get a draw? Christ we will be lucky, I think woy will play for a nil nil.

I remember a time when the likes of Robbie Fowler, arguably one of the greatest natural finishers this country has ever, could barely get a game!

 

Completely agree about the manager. His one big job at Liverpool was a failure so why the FA thought that he was the right man to take the national side, the biggest job of them all, forward is beyond me. That's why I defend the performances of Sterling and Sturridge in an England shirt, because the manager of England and the one at Liverpool's philosophy couldn't be more different. One encourages the players to express themselves and the other is much more concerned with trying to stop the opposition and not lose a game instead of setting them out to really try to win it, if that makes sense.

The Swiss are currently 9th in the FIFA world rankings. England are 20th. I will be delighted with a draw.

The swiss are an overrated side, ranked 9th because of recent fixtures, even so I think we will be comfortably beaten. 2-0 to them with England failing to record a shot on target.

The Swiss are weak in the middle of defence hopefully for England's sake Djourou will play as he's always good for a mistake. In all other areas of the pitch I'd say the Swiss have a far more settled and effective team. Two cracking full backs in Lichsteiner and Rodriguez, Inler and Behrami will be strong in the middle of the park and in Shaqiri they have the best player on the pitch, on his day he is superb. Will be really tough for England, a draw would be more than decent.....

 

With Senderos in their side I suppose we've always got a chance?

That is not what I said at all, I was just pointing out that he had international experience. He also got Finland to 33rd in the World rankings more recently. (2007)
