Are we getting a new striker or not ?

Just been speaking to my lad and his friend Tom Youngs a striker who plays for Bolton as been looking for a loan deal apparently Crewe are in the running for him.Surely we should be looking for a loan deal with somebody who as a future at there parent club rather than somebody that club just want shot off and are trying to recapture some off the fee.

I would say so, I was talking to him a few weeks ago (I supply his new shop with a few items). He had just turned down a contract from Oldham as he didn't fancy the commute, he did add that he had spoken to Micky Adams that morning and whilst he really wanted to get back on the pitch he did understand that his Stoke history may make it a little difficult. It worked out fine for Dicko so I can't see it being a problem for Mama.

1 thing though, I got the feeling he was dodging pre season training so I don't know what sort of shape he is in (looks trim enough though). If he does sign I hope he does well for you!

Sidibe never scored when he was fit. No offence but he should stick to baking cakes.

My best pal is a Stripey and said that though he was never a prolific goalscorer he more than made up for that with the assists that he created and he was brilliant at holding the ball up. If he could play alongside Tom he would be a super acquisition in my opinion.

In our current precarious state of only having 2 recognised strikers in the squad, Sidibe would be welcomed with open arms by me.

He is a 100% player who ran through brick walls for Stoke and played a lot of games at a far higher level than Div 1, including some in the Premiership.

Well built and very strong, he is the kind of player that defenders dislike, like Akinfenwa.

 

Finances dictate and although ideally we could do with someone with a better scoring record, he's certainly someone I would like to see in the squad and an extra forward body that we badly need.

the facts are that we need another striker , sooner rather than later . whilst i am not overly enthused by sidibe i would go with mickys judgement but then again he did bring in big calv :( .
