First off have Walsall strengthened in close season?

Their most notable signings are James O'Connor and two lower league strikers who have massive potential yet to be fulfilled - Ashley Grimes from Bury and Tom Bradshaw from Shrewsbury (who from personal experience is lightening fast).

Ashley Grimes had a frustrating season last season. 15 appearances 0 goals. but i think he has got potential in him. he played well when he was at rochdale and when he was on loan to Lincoln City. Tom Bradshaw i think he also will have potential but i can't see them both scoring many this season to be fair and i don't think they will bother us much but who knows..

Danny Webber was one of the three trialists who turned out in a goalless draw at Mansfield yesterday.Apparently the Stags play a similar physical game to us according to manager Dean Smith?

Not seen Mansfield play for a good while so can't comment on that. I do expect us to have a great deal more quality in midfield this year though. Last year, we were workmanlike for much of the time with flashes of quality from Lines, Knott and Loft. There is certainly a good deal more flair in this side.

considering mansfields team is full of our rejects, hardly surprising

They've lost defender Andy Butler to Sheff.Utd which is a big loss,Milan Lalkovic has gone to Czechoslovakia,Craig Westcarr to Pompey and Ashley Hemmings to Dagenham and Redbridge.
