PL 2015/16 - Favourites? Plus my Liverpool...

If the Gooners can avoid big injuries to their main players, then they wont get a better chance of bringing the Premier league back to North London. They've got by far the best attacking options in the Premier, and apart from the shambolic defending against Man City,Pool and Chelsea last season, they still had the 4th best defence in the league last season.

I tip Man Utd beating Liverpool to that 4th place, and I think we'll see Mata come to his best again this season.

Arsenal

Chelsea

Man City

Man Utd..

Over-exaggeration much? In that first 11, 7 were regular starters last season, and Enrique would have been if he hadn't of been injured. That would make 8.

Llalana is a direct replacament for Saurez, although not on his level obviously. That leaves Lovren and Moreno, who are better choices than Agger (great player but never seems 100% fit) and Johnson, who most people insist is the weak link in the side.

You're talking nonsense.

Do you know it's Lallana?

I don't think Liverpool willchallenge this season , losing Suarez is a massive blow

As it would be for any team who lose their best player of course. But Liverpool didn't go right to the wire last season just because of Luis Saurez, and anybody who thinks this is a little bit delusional. It was a real team effort, in which the likes of Sturridge, Sterling and to a lesser extent Henderson came of age.

Liverpool conceded too many goals last season. The signings of Lovren and Moreno, along with the return of Enrique, will really help. Liverpool may or may not score as many goals as last season, but I'm certain that they will concede a lot less.

I'd say that Man City and Chelsea are favourites as it stands, but I really don't believe Liverpool will be a million miles away from either.

Spurs will struggle this season , poor forward line.

I don't think they will struggle but I can't see them challenging for a Champions League place. It will help if Erik Lamela, who's having a decent pre-season, can start performing for them as if so that will be like a new signing for Spurs. But even if he does, I can't see them finishing any higher than 6th.

Liverpool run riot against a strong Dortmund side his afternoon. If they play anything like this next week against Southampton then Koeman will wish he never bothered taking the job, more than he is already perhaps with all their best players leaving!

And if the touch by Coutinho for the 1st was Lionel Messi in a league game everybody would be purring about it. Huge season for him, he has the ability to be world-class if he can find the consistency.

That would mean a lot more if they were all English and still no one sang it

Did Wilshere start? Or Gibbs?

Exactly,that was my point.

They were the only two English players in the starting twenty-two and they didn't sing either, probably didn't want to feel the odd ones out?

By the way,Arsenal won 3-0 and most of the City players didn't want to know.

i take no interest at all in the Prem league - other than Stoke losing.

Its a world-wide Sky Product rather than a football league and it will remain so because no-one has the bottle to run it the same as the German's run theirs. Instead they just come up with ***** like Dyke's attempt to kill traditional football altogether.

I really really hope there is something that's currently off the radar that could instill a huge fall in Sky's profits via a mass desertion of advertisers. No chance I know, but its what football needs if we are to get back to any chance of England ever producing a World Cup winning team.
