I think he will be a good signing for the vale and glad to see that we are improving the right back postition and sorting the defence out and hopefully another new winger in today or first thing tomorrow morning. and i think martin paterson would probably say anything to fans to keep the fans guessing he could surprise us and join us who knows.. i know he is former stokie but so is dicko. and dicko has done well last season for us :).

Adams now says he is only looking at Hoyte and will look at a couple more right backs next week before deciding,thats a shame I was looking forward to seeing a pacy right back

Patterson was superb before his injury but I believe he has not found any sort of scoring form since?

 

Assume he is looking to find anywhere but the Vale.

 

If I remember correctly when as a young lad in Stoke reserves he made it clear he wouldn't come on loan to the Vale as he was a Stoke fan.

 

As another poster has said there's a big difference between having played for Stoke and being a Stoke fan.

 

Somebody ask Popey if he fancies playing for the sjoke.

Delighted that we are getting a new right-back in as its a position in need of improvement. Not surprising though as Adams preferred both Duffy & Grimmer over Yates for a substantial number of games this last couple of seasons, although Yates did well for the last few months of the promotion season.
