£360,000 a year for us. A trifle when you consider how much the likes of Cardiff got (£62m) for their one, single season in the PL.

 

The solidarity payments were also used to basically force the FL to accept the parachute payments system (which anyone can see is unfair - rewarding failure and causing all sorts of financial woe to the Championship clubs) as the PL threatened to withdraw it unless parachute payments were accepted.

Seems like a good bit of business to me if it comes off!!

 

For me Huntington would be a quality addition,he has been mostly at the centre of their not too shabby defence for a couple of seasons and if you think he would replace Davis and Chilvers then that's certainly improving the squad

I think this potentially is good business by Vale. I might be wrong but a tribunal would look at the years and money that gets spent on developing a player in the terms of the youth system from early ages etc in which this isnt the case for Hugill which would potentially lead to a low tribunal fee. So I see the logic in a swap deal if this is true

Huntington is tall and slow and can't pick a pass. A Gareth Owen type defender. Personally I am not fussed if he doesn't join.

If Davis does move, it would do him good. He's a whipping boy for many in the crowd and MA seems to have shot his confidence. Whether or not he's good enough, remains to be seen. He shows quality on the ball, apart from the odd panic attack. A sports psych would do him good.
