The live game coverage of the 90 minutes football and the replays are great, I watched Germany this afternoon for instance.

 

 

 

I did however specifically reference the summarisers and the highlights shows though which are bizarre in the extreme :)

 

 

I watched the Germany v Portugal highlights and didn't notice anything along the lines of what you mentioned. Your opening line was along the lines of ITVs coverage is world class compared to SBS, coverage includes the match itself and commentary. I would prefer to watch the match on SBS as I can't be doing with Andy Townsend.

Henry's English isn't the best but the quality of analysis from him, Seedorf, Murphy and Lineker is far better than the rubbish on ITV, once you have negotiated ten minutes worth of adverts.

Totally disagree with that,I think his knowledge of players and teams tactics are second to none.His accent may not be to the liking of everyone though.I suggest that you try listening to what he says rather than how he says it?

Agreed - proper footballing knowledge and articulate too. Best I've heard so far (including the radio).

His comment about a "good foul" has drawn some criticism on Twitter but he was right - take one for the team.

To be honest it was more about the summarising and studio action. The commentaries on the game are generally fine as they are normally done by UK commentators.
