Who's bought there Season Ticket ?

Bang-on on both counts.

Any Chairman with any balls/brains would have gone for it in last few months given the number of "fans" that we can attract when things are going well.

What did he say in Jan? "We don't want to be like Yeovil." **** that. Just let's give it a go.

I know what you mean, but it's easy to say that with someone else's money.

We'd have been throwing money at the possibility of getting into a three-match knockout at the end of the season, not on automatic promotion.

If we had made rash, expensive signings and it all came to nowt then we could well have been in a worse position.

This time round, I think it was probably the right decision.

As I mentioned on another thread, it baffles me as to why Micky and Norman aren't playing on the fact that we are just 4 points away from the playoffs as opposed to simply commenting that we are 'safe'!....I'm a realist...and I understand our position...but so many fans want to feel that hope and belief that it is still possible...surely playing on that is good PR heading towards the end of the season...surely that would encourage people and motivate people to turn up and support the team/purchase season tickets??

Instead we have two men that just appear to be passionless and miserable!!...and that attitude is working its way down to the fans...

It's all very strange...

We have just renewed three!!! :upthevale::upthevale::upthevale:

Where's that thumbs up button :) only 4,300 to go,I take it folks are saving their money for the playoffs, yes it will be an expensive few matches but am sure the fans will turn out in their thousands for these games but find an excuses not to buy a ST :(

Football is a dream, in L1, 2 teams are promoted, Wolves had a £8m parachute payment so pretty much guaranteed and only one other spot available. As for the playoffs, just one spot looks likely to be up for grabs. But without being able to bring players in it was difficult to build the excitement of a PO push, even so MA could have said "we will have a shot anyway, even though the odds are against us". As it turns out we were not that far away, but winning the POs is a different matter.

Like I said...I'm a realist, but there needs to be that 'something' to play for to keep fans entertained and turning up on a cold Tuesday evening. If we were fighting relegation we wouldn't give up until it was mathematically impossible so why not try and get the fans thinking in this manner re the play offs??...Im not saying I have any expectation personally but this is a clear opportunity for the club//business to sell the next few games to the supporters....to promote season tickets.

Norman and Mickey just seem to have a really defeatist attitude...An outsider would question whether or not Norman actually wants this business to succeed....and whether Mickey has any passion or enthusiasm to manage this club going forward

I actually think our season ticket sales will reach around 3,500 for next season and then it is up to Smurf on what he wants to try and do to get those extra 800 or so,4,300 is very optimistic for me with no deals or advertised payment plans etc(no manager or players also plays a part)

All in the mind, MKDons with just a point more than us are showing possible Championship prices for next season STs, an increase of 23% over thier early bird prices (which end this week)

I honestly cannot see what all the furore is over the fact we only sold 138 ST's by the end of March. Just because Norman would like everyone to renew straight away it just goes to show how much he has to learn about football matters and Stoke-on-Trent. Of course everyone waits until the pricing deadlines as they'd like to keep the money in their own pockets as long as possible.

I'm sure come August we will have sold +/-5% of what we've sold this season & hopefully Norman will realise budgets are all very well but you must give football fans hope and honesty. UTV.

Two good defenders and a left sided wing man would have given the Vale a great chance of promotion, or at least the trip to Wembley and given an incentive for a big increase in season ticket sales for next season.

As things are negativeness has provided a great chance of relegation next season.

Think this membership scheme could be a good idea, If £90 per season, thats about £4 a game, Then say £3 0ff ticket purchased in advance, Total £7, Would this not help some to spread the load, and encourage them to attend more games. Any thoughts on something like this.
