Seems a bit OTT to raise a petition against Tom Cleverley?

Very ott as it's Roy Hodgsons job to pick the team, not Joe public. You only need to look at some of the teams suggested by Vale fans to know why they shouldn't be allowed to pick the team.

 

Having said that, Cleverly has been poor for a while. When he was on loan at Wigan, he looked a player but not at United.

Totally agree. Probably make Hodgson dig his heels in more and see the lad gets a game to ensure his confidence isn't affected. We all know what Adams would do!

My thoughts entirely. I do wonder about the mindset of people like this that call themselves football fans.

 

He was great at Wigan and has been poor and for me does not deserve his place in the England squad but thats my opinion and I would certainly never try something like this which will directly affect his confidence. What is it with fans who think its a great idea to knock their own and deride them to such an extent, bizarre behaviour!

Most United fans have got their wish and Cleverley looks like signing for Villa in a £8m deal,Keano has no doubt had some input and will improve his game no end.

Maybe so but he'll have to do the most amazing job to make him better than an avergage PL midfielder..a regular in a struggling Villa is about his level

He's a pretty average player but I'm sure he reads the newspapers and some stuff online - His confidence must be shot to pieces right now. A couple of years ago he looked a very tidy player with a good engine but for whatever reason he's not kicked on since then. I see him as an average Premiership player, not United class, but he doesn't deserve all the stick he gets from the majority.

They've spent 60 mil on a player they don't need, they're desperate for a good centre back, they need cover at both full backs and need a proper center mid Carrick cleverly fallaini fletcher aren't really good enough (mauve Carrick alongside someone else) and I don't think Herrera even though he looks decent enough is the kind if midfielder they need

 

They need someone like Marchisio or Gundogan

Cleverley deal to Villa is off due to the player/agent wage demands of £80,000/week which would have made him the highest paid player at the club.
