The Colchester game was called off last night and looking at the weather for the next few days in the SE I'm sure that there's a possibility that this game will be off too. I hope it's on, I've already got my train tickets!!

Ditto!

And it`s rained down here in the SE all day and night(Wednesday) yet I`m about 70-80 miles from there, so it might not be relevant :whistling:

The open stand pretty much sums up how we are treated as football fans. I took the kids last year as did my mates and we were absolutely freezing, if it had of rained we'd have been heading for hospital. Learning from my mistakes, I'll be taking the kids again on Saturday. The macs they gave out a few years ago were pointless and didn't keep you dry one bit. I was thinking of taking a huge piece of tarp.

Has London had that much rain Paul, I haven't noticed it?

Morning all...Gills fan in peace

Been raining in the Medway towns pretty much for the last 36 hours and is expected to carry on all day today. Tomorrow during the day is dry so will give the team a bit of time but tomorrow nights rain may kill the game off i would think. Sat is expected to be dry with a drying wind and the pitch is usually pretty good. There is one touchline that may cause a problem.

Safe journey to those that travel if the game goes ahead and hope for a good game. We are very much win 1 lose 1 at the moment...so after our defeat to the league leaders on Friday we are due a win now ;)

ps depending how many you bring, we may house you undercover in the Gordon Rd Stand as we have done with other teams when its been lashing down, but you may bring too many for that ?

I'll be surprised if we bring more than 200.

If thats the case you may well be tucked into a corner undercover but only if its lashing it down.

And don't want to buy a cheap online ticket on Friday only to be called off Saturday morning : )

Apparently, the Football League will only allow waterlogged pitch postponements on the same day as the match is scheduled. So, even though they knew that last night's game between Sheff Utd and Peterborough was unplayable the day previously, they had to wait until an 8:30am inspection yesterday to confirm.
