Could be. Adams, and I guess most fans, want a hard working team with players who will bust a gut for us when needed. Can't see the average "hey, do you know how much I earn, I'm a premiership player?" showing that effort.

We had a succession of loans from Man Utd under Rudge, notably David Healy and another young striker whose name I forget. I think the twin full back was also a loan initially. I believe Ferguson insisted that they played first team football regularly as a condition of the loan.

Only one I can think of on a season long loan was Neville Southall from Everton.

not sure is these 3 were season long but Taiwo, Pearce and Herd.. also Williamson was a loan which we eventually signed.

Do we really need to get people in on loan if we sign these 2 cbs.. personaly i dont think we need to, it will just meen more money on wages unless we can get someone which there team pay half there wages.. maybe in january IF someones injured :)

Season long loans are a fairly recent thing in the English leagues. The only loans you would get in the old days would be for a month, which could be extended up to a maximum of three.
