2 Experianced CB's on trial tonight

I'm amazed that at this late stage the plan is to 'trial' a couple of defenders. Everyone and his dog has known for ages that high on the list of Adams' priorities was to recruit a couple of decent defenders. You would have thought that he would have had a shopping list of potential signings who's capabilities are already known to him in which case it would be matter of 'go get em'. Maybe I' m missing something but I can't honestly see what one trial game against lowly opposition can reveal about the two players concerned unless of course they are from non League backgrounds.

Agree with your last point why put these two on v kiddy surely the derby game would have been better

he was out injured a lot last year but I heard he was released. I know he had a trial at Blackburn but I heard nothing since.

I just thought of him as he's quality and I assume still available unless I've missed something.

Was down the club earlier, lets just say that one of the names mentioned on this thread is on trial with Vale tonight, looking through the comments I dont think the other has been mentioned and will be a surprise to everyone.

I don't think there's any truth in the Demerit one for the same reasons as Tisdeano.

Demerit played one game for Vancouver in the whole if last season and is now 34 . Injured at 33 for a whole season would not bode well in recovery terms . It will definitely be interesting to see who the two are though.
