theres a fair few contradictions in that story.... took him 5 mins to get up 6 steps yet he manages to climb much more steps to get on a plane to America so he can sip his pink champagne? As a human being its sad that he is homeless but he doesnt do himself anything favours in the latter part of the article.

Sad situation to be in but no sympathy from me I'm afraid. I saw much better footballers in my time too, Hudson spent far too much time in front of or alongside the back four, where looking good is not that difficult.

Thought Hudson was the very best inside-forward England had.

 

He was the right player with the wrong Manager (Revie) - How Gerry Francis 'the crab, because he always passed sideways' kept getting picked ahead of Hudson showed exactly Revie's mindset.

 

He was always an arrogant plonk off the pitch and a regular frequenter of Jollies Nightclub where reputedly he once held out a tenner as if to give to a waiter then said 'because I earn xxxxx a week I can afford to do this ... and set fire to the tenner in front of the waiter. True or false it summed up many stories of the same ilk.

 

I believe every human being should not wish homelessness on anyone but whilst I admired him as a footballer (Hudson and Greenhoff should have been first picks for the National side) he was not to be admired off it.
