What fact do you know that you reckon most others don't...and i don't mean the name of your milkman!!!

I'll kick off....The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue

which one? are there not a few muscles in the tongue?

big black scorpions are not as dangerous as the small grey ones..... the black ones will make you ill but the small ones do kill

There are more species of day-flying moth in the UK than there are species of butterfly.

It takes up to 150 pints of water to make one pint of beer. But it's better than orange juice at nearly 550 pints of water to make 1 pint of juice.

It takes 40 cals of energy put into a chicken (in the form of seed) to get just 1 cal out (in the form of meat).

There is enough suitable habitat for 300 breeding pairs of hen harrier in England, yet there are 0-2 breeding pairs due purely to illegal persecution.

You can't touch ALL of your teeth with your tongue.

You probably tried that last one :D

Not sure if its something people generally don't know, but I think a common misconception is that the earth is closer to the sun in summer and further away in winter. When in fact the opposite is true.

But it's always summer somewhere in the world....

I can becasue I officially have an oversize tongue..'tis true and confirmed many years ago by my GP. Only last week I had to go for some breathing tests and was unable to do them as i can't fit my tongue on the floor of my mouth. Had to go back two days later when they had to use a special adaptor which...erm...pushes it down.

I can touch all of someone else's teeth with mine ;)

I did, and like JA I didn't have the slightest problem succeeding. 4 more wisdom teeth, making 36 teeth in total would be easy, though another 4, making 40 would be a stretch.

PS I am not Gene Simmons.
