  1. Past hour
  2. I thought they were probably the best side we played this season. They hammered us at vale park (but actually looked decent unlike everyone else that hammered us) glad they’ve gone up.
  3. I'd anticipate they'll really struggle to stay up. But fair play to them. Last season was a blip . They've regularly been top 10 or higher . Outplayed Bolton and could of won by more easily. Bolton were shocking.
  4. I work with an Oxford fan and he tells me that their owners subsidise player wages to the tune of £2m a year. They won’t be allowed To do that in the championship as the rules are different for FFP. Will be interesting to see how they do.
  5. Anyone know how Bruno's starlets are now? Did any of them make it?
  6. Isn’t iFollow still going to be available to you’s folks outside the UK? Thought it was since the 300k per club Sky have paid for, is just the UK broadcast rights. It’s all very unclear and you’d have thought the club would have a better understanding of how the fans can watch them next season……and let us know.
  7. It just goes to show what little Port Vale could do if they had the drive and ambition We are where we are.
  8. Think I'll have to hold fire on the season ticket. I work shifts and if they move a 3pm KO to 12.30 I can't go. Simple as that. Away tickets might have to be reviewed as well if a 5.30pm KO is given when is the last train back? Think this is definitely going under the radar and the havoc it's potentially going to cause with the fixture schedule. Sent from my CPH2195 using onevalefan mobile app
  9. Fair enough with what you say as well mate,i take your point I wasn't meaning to do a disservice to him tbf as i do think he is quality which will again stand out in League 2 and hopefully Garrity will as well 🙂
  10. Going way back I think Ronnie Jepson joined us from Nantwich Town having already played for Hanley, Newcastle & Kidsgrove etc. Only turned pro in his mid 20’s and has since had a relatively good career in the pro game - Neil Warnock’s an obvious fan. But you’re right, with all the professional club academies locally and nationally, the days of finding a fork lift truck driver doing a shift one day who can then walk straight into a L1 team the next (Ian Taylor), are long gone.
  11. Looked a proper team this season Oxford and played very well today. They've got some cracking players. Puts us to shame that given last season. Deserved it.
  12. Today
  13. Fair enough. I just think not worrying about Chislett going, or being far less bothered, is giving disservice to a man who has provided goals and assists in one of, if not the worst squad, assembled in my lifetime. The lad will not be replaced with anywhere near better in league 2.
  14. After today you would expect Bolton to release wing back Declan John as he will be out of contract and spent time on loan at Salford last season, haven't we been linked to him in the past?
  15. I am also enjoying this. Its not very often we get a full bore nutcase posting without getting banned. Almost posts in the style of a daughter sticking up for her misunderstood father. Anyone else watched Baby Reindeer and drawing comparisons?
  16. Not far, day out at Wembley first time ever. Where did their players come from? Data driven trawl of lower league and non-league teams by the part owner last close season, driven by a highly disciplined manager having just managed to avoid relegation last season.
  17. Are you saying folk on here don’t know what they’re talking about!!
  18. "We are Port Vale we'll concede when we want"
  19. Congratulations Oxford United.....👏🏆 Oh dear poor Bolton wanderers choked on final day 🤣🤣🤣🤣
  20. It is not that simple without a broad understanding of income streams and overheads. From a customer perspective it is easier to look at decisions made by the club and evaluate the likely outcomes based on experience of attending matches.
  21. He’s horrendous. He will struggle at this level.
  22. Crawley sold 16'000 tomorrow compared to just over 10 for Crewe. Where have they all appeared from !
  23. That’s as good as anyone can say at this point. My concern is any “extra” revenue. I paid £140 for a video season pass. If, as I understand it, we had at least 2,000 fans having done that over the world, that’s £280,000 or the 300k right there. Add all that to the £10 one off buys domestically over the year and I just don’t see how £300k honestly helps us. I think it is a cut in money, for the club. That’s before any cut in money from attendances thanks to the domestic nature of the deal and the fact that ultimately it is Sky that pocket any advantage from a highly viewed game.
  24. Least we got an honourable mention. Most goals conceded between 76th and 90th minute. Port Vale 1st . Outstanding.
  25. How has Thomasson played 50 games if he has been booked 22 times this season according to BBC website?
  26. Oxford were great at home all season. Seems an age since we were celebrating our 99th minute winner down there !
