Well.. I wasn't going to start a thread on it but I have heard that Rudge is being lined up for a return to Vale Park

he ought to be brought back , even if its just in an ambassador type role. his invaluable experience with everything port vale will help micky and the owners to no end and he should have a side of the ground named after him as far as im concerned as he was key in a lot of golden childhood memories i carry with me :)

I agree but even then I am sure his vast contacts, and experience would benefit Vale. He worked a lot with stokes academy I am assuming the board may see him as a gem to work with our academy and for a scouting role. Some have said that he is already signed up to help Micky find a few players. Not sure on that rumor but I would love it.

I agree with that and he has so many contacts to bring with him,an ambassador role seems appropriate,as i wouldn't like to see him as DOF and unsettle Adams.

Why would it unsettle Adams? Was it a problem for Pullis. It's not as though he will be after Adams job at his age. If it did, it will only be because of Adams ego.

I think Rudgie would maybe work on a part time basis as he has had Family illness issues of late.......FORGET Rudgie Full time as i think it would undermine MA.......And i personally think MA should be consulted first before Rudgie could even be considered.......'Rock the Boat and all that'....;)

Rudge even part-time as Director of Football to oversee the Academy and Development Squad and let Adams concentrate on being the first team coach....for two reasons really as in terms of tickets and feelgood factor it would pay for itself and get the great man back home....but the main purpose being that the club needs a Director of Football inorder to oversee the Academy and Development Squad both of which must essentially be outside the remit and control of the first team manager.

I believe he has preferred hitting a golf ball on a Saturday afternoon than watching Pulisball.JR is best away from Stoke RFC ,his reputation as a 'football man' has being heavily tarnished by being there.;)
