McDonald was decent at start of season, loaned out to Bristol Rovers to accommodate more experience CB's to get us over the finish line and Bristol Rovers coincidently improved significantly while he was playing reguraly there.

Loft won't get released, he's very close to agreeing a new deal. I wouldn't release Williamson either, he's been very unlucky to find himself out of the team so much during the season. He's young, hungry and within the perfect company in Hughes and pope to become an excellent player in the next few years.

He's not a youngster , if we have to wait a few years he'll be nearly 30!

Totally agree Williamson especially is one for the future at any level.

Did you watch every other game? McDonald was dire, and its amazing people would keep him in a higher league. He went to Bristol and hardly played for months. They improved while he was on the bench. Will be lucky to be playing league football next year. Maybe Mansfield will have him!

I think FPN is slightly over exaggerating as there have been worse. Not many slower though. Williamson needs to combine speed with skill and taking opportunities as he misses far too many and when he starts he's no where near as good.

As for Loft, that's plain daft. Good player. He just needs decent players with him.

I would give loft a 12 month contract but only as back up to hopefully better quality of midfielder coming in.
