Too much squad overhaul, as some might suggest, is not going to be good for the squad. I think last year we released 4 and bought in 6 - So I would assume it'd be about the same...

 

Out of contract players

 

Dodds - 2 years

Birchall - 2 years (will benefit and be a great player after a MA pre-season)

Purse - Release

Hughes - 1 year (think he triggered a clause for this anyway)

Jones - 2 years

Chilvers - 1 year

Andrew - release

Williamson - not too sure whether league 1 will be a step up too much as he is very raw

Johnson - 2 years (loan out for experience)

MacDonald - Release

James - 1 year (loan out again)

Loft - 2 years

Morsy - 1 Year

Yates - 1 Year

I'd keep the bottom 3 on that list and jones and the rest can be released as far as I'm concerned. Like to see a bit more attractive football played next season now we are out of the sloggers division.

Not Dodds. Goes missing far too often for my liking.

 

You can't reward someone for the occasional good performance.

 

Over the course of a season Dodds will get you near double figures in goals.

 

For a midfielder thats a great asset to have.

 

I would give him at least 12 months.

If you want to see more attractive football then may i suggest go to Crewe?

 

I wouldnt mind matching this season. 80 odd goals. A 30 goal a season striker. 7-1, 6-2, 5-2, 4-0 victories amongst others.

Totally agree with that, it would be most excellent to re-watch some of the football we've played again next season.

Far more consistent player than Dodds, was playing well for the team until Adams dropped him after his sending off. Dodds has a good game in 5, nobody knows what his best position is and you really want to play a player like that because he will get you 8 or 9 goals a season!!!!!

Wasn't good enough for league 2 and will certainly not be good enough for league 1.

Hughes will be fine as a squad player, notts county released him and he struggles to manage 90 minutes, not bothered wether we keep him or not.

Birch all not fussed either way, probably had his best years behind him, if Adams can get him playing more consistently then maybe but for me he's similar to Dodds, more poor games than good.

Dont understand what the fascination with Dodds is. He's alrate but that's about it. Has the odd good game
