I think he's been very steady and reliable of late but can't really play in L1 and was at fault for Burton's goal, got turned far too easily.

Top of the Summer shopping list has to be 2 new centre-backs. Don't want to be seeing McCombe, Purse or Chilvers in a League 1 starting line-up. Would like to see more of Davis though to see if he can hack it.

Micky doesn't think he can hack it in league 2 never mind league 1.

 

So I doubt he will be in the reckoning next season.

 

Friday night would have been totally different if Zola and Billy Kee were up front. They weren't and we were on fire.

Micky doesn't think he can hack it in league 2 never mind league 1.

Yep, that's probably right.

 

I just think he's worth giving another chance to as he's got plenty of time to improve his game and cut out any mistakes that he's been prone to making. This can probably be ruled out though due to Adams' preference for experience.

Chilvers has done well, personally I think there are a number of 'unsung heroes' who have played a very large part in getting us (almost) over the line..........Taylor, Shuker, Lloyd, Andrew, McDonald and Morsy to name just a few......EVERY player that has taken to the pitch has played their part and deserves credit.

He's solid and has bags of experience.

 

Him and McCombe/Purse aren't really an ideal partnership though, as any opponent with mobile forwards who like to run in behind can give our back line nightmares.

I think chilvers always looks like he has a mistake in him since his return. But I think the team will need gutting if we go up. A new midfield, centre halves and a new striker at least. Yates has been superb at left back.

chilvers has been ok, but only ok, we will need 2 new centre backs for l1 if we make it, the current lot are too slow. the worst thing chilvers does is let the ball bounce before heading it, cost us a goal against cheltenham and almost cost us a goal against burton. lack of pace wouldve been shown up had burtons first team been out as steve has said so 2 new backs next season please micky

It was McCombe letting the ball bounce against Cheltenham, not Chilvers.
