Lorne Street Now Sold Out

Recommended Posts

Lorne Street tends to get pretty packed most games so to actually sell out there is no real surprise. We need Bycars and Railway paddock and stands to fill up now to make up for the huge gaps that will exist in Hamil end! Reading lots on here suggesting away fans are going to get into our stands and ends but surely they will be policed and supervised to prevent the majority doing that? OK, there may be a few of theirs who will slide in undetected but they must be mad as this has the possibilities of there being trouble and Vale do not want and cannot afford to have any problems with crowd control that would bring fines/unnecessary bad publicity. If it's true that we are going to get a bumper crowd we want the extra floater fans to be entertained as well as seeing a bril Club control a huge gate so they can be enticed back again and again.

2500 Lorne Street

1500 Bycars / Railway / Family

2000 Season Ticket

Thats 6000 already - i can't see another 4000 turning up

There are 2,000 season tickets in the Lorne Street. How many did we sell in total this season?

I'm thinking more along the lines of -

Lorne Street + other tickets sold - 4000

Season tickets 2000+

Pay on the gate 1000

Burton 500

That would probably give us 7500-8000 which would be a fantastic gate for Division Two.

I hope we get even more. There's a day to go and we might entice a few more in yet.

How many times do we hype it up and see 6 k lol I would really really love to see 10k at vp but doubt I will till we are a championship team . It's all sjokes fault

We got 6,900 against gillingham back in September and with only two home games after this and promotion only a few games away, also against a promotion chasing side, £9 a ticket I really really can see 9000 tomorrow!!!

You are all getting very carried away - nowt wrong with that though.

Just spoken to geoff Wakefield (ex director and original V2001 member).

Lorne Street holds 1200-1400 and is mostly taken up by ST holders

40 boxes at 8 per box

50 in Disabled Stand

each block of railway paddock is 480 seats.

So at the moment we are looking at basically an advance ticket sales of 1500 plus 1200 / 1400 in Lorne Street (remember a significant number of seats at the back are for press and guests. Plus ST sales elsewhere circ 2,000

So at present we are looking at circ 5,200 guaranteed. plus sales tomorrow and walk ups

My 6,921 guess the crowd looks a bit low though.

the press bit is still there but the bit that used to be for guests is now mainly season tickets - its where I sit, in the old days the players used to get free season tickets, I know as I paid Stevie Brooker £100 for one many moons ago
