Yes, definitely a big month. If we can win our home games and draw the away ones, we'll be in a great position for the run in.

 

There's sure to be some teams that do well in January's but those that don't will be playing catch up. The league is so close but January could see it begin to shape up.

Southend have hit form too soon and will probably have a 'drop off' as at our level teams are not able to do it consistently.

 

Mine and my mates 40:1 on the Vale looks better by the week.

5th of Jan - it's Rochdale v Wimbledon, not Rotherham. Rotherham are in the 3rd round of the cup.

Southend v Cheltenham is also off as both teams are in the 3rd round.

 

All in all, it would be a good day to beat Plymouth (all being well), bank the points and let the others worry about having to win their game in hand.

 

The 26th is 4th Round day so if Southend beat Brentford or Cheltenham shock Everton then their league games will be postponed on that weekend as well.

Need at least a point Saturday and win both the forthcoming home games. Quite a few teams below us are gathering some momentum now(Bradford, chesterfield, etc).Home form is going to be key over the next few months. Up the Vale

8 points would be ideal. Losing one wouldn't be the end of the world.

 

Although I reckon confidence will be very high after the last few games and I fancy us to go on a bit of a winning streak. January would be the perfect month to do so as there are some massive top of the table clashes for us.

Bradford have 3 extra games in January, Crewe on the Tuesday before they play us and Villa on the Tuesday after with the fixture pile up they have injuries will slow them down.

It's a tough months football but if we're going to get promotion we all have to stick together, get right behind the lads (even when things go wrong) and then we may reap the rewards. Oh! And the title Champions would be nice.

Correct........And being pro active in the January window signing players who can improve and send out a message to the rest of the league will be a massive boost
