Has anyone heard anything about loan signings or new faces around Vale Park today?

i think both PW and MA have sat down and discussed the players he wants to bring in might well have contacted the clubs/agents for the deal to be done. and will probs be done tomorrow

I have a feeling we will bring a couple in on loan with a view to purchasing them in January. I know people are saying the new owners won't be throwing money at us but if Adams convinces them the players he wants will guarantee us promotion I certainly think they will make money available. Just my opinion like.

Guarantee is a tough ask, improve our chances is possible.

I don't think they'll be going mad with the cheque book. Bringing more than a couple of new faces in risks upsetting the balance anyway.

How many are we going to get? Maximum 3 I would imagine.

 

I'm not expecting any inspiring names though. Our first 11 is more than capable for this league. Loan players will probably be stop gaps to help with injuries and suspensions, so younger players from championship teams.

 

I would like to see an actual left back though - unless Loft is going to stay there. I much prefer Loft on the left hand side, but further up the pitch rather than at left back. He's not going to displace Vincent there though

Pope is I believe, one booking from a ban, interesting that Micky took Pope off with enough of the game left for all to see just how much we miss him.

I don't think we will take on too many loan players, we aren't too far from the January window, but I wouldn't be too surprised to see a striker in by the end of play tomorrow.

This is why we need another striker on the bench, somebody who will make himself a target as Pope does. I don't see Vincent or Dodds as forwards at all, which leaves us with Pope and Williamson. Dare I say it, somebody like Guy Madjo would do.

 

Still, that's one more forward than Liverpool!
