Port Vale v Rotherham Utd - Match Thread

Hall should have finished that but why couldn’t Sherif keep that in?!!!

Yes, We end up regretting those missed chances most games. Going in 2-0 up would have been a real lift.

That is why he won’t be off anywhere higher this summer. Quality players finish that.

Hall’s end product is actually a disgrace. No point having all that pace to get in behind when his crossing is as bad as it is.

I’ve counted 4 times where he’s been properly in behind their full back, and his final ball has been appalling. Including the one with the open goal.

The free kick he took was dreadful as well.

If ever there was a game that just looked like two relegation sides this is it. They’ve managed to out-inept us slightly and that is the difference.

Will say Cam and Kyle done well and Rhys and Croasdale been ok too.

You’d do well to find two worse sides on a Sunday morning.

His end product has been consistently poor. Reminiscent of Lewis Haldane.

Great to see vale in front but that was not football as we know it Jim.

Pair of really poor teams playing on a really poor pitch.

Piece of "Vale defending" by Rotherham for the goal.

Croasdale we have missed him fine finish on the volley ball through too G Hall class its a open goal just put it in and Sherif should have done better when Archer put him in

They only had 1 clear cut chance and that was when lionel slipped

Pass the ball Vale more goals for us in this game .

Think K Johns Vales best player so up for it winning eveything but Croasdale is pushing him close

Keep it up

At least Haldane knew how to con referees for free kicks but I do get that comparison. He’s so close to being a good player if he had even a slight modicum of composure.

I’d argue Kyle John was to be honest and Heneghan too.

maybe john has a shout heneghan  reads the game very well but he gets done for pace too often and without debrahs pace saving him quite a few times in games this season and last he would have struggled even more.

I think the ref either came on the rotherham coach or he is cross eyed because I don't know what he is looking at half the time.

We should have put this game to bed by now but too sloppy with the final ball and sheriffs legs keep going in the opposite direction tot he rest of him.

Hope it doesn't bite us on the backside.

Welcome back croasdale 😁

Someone has to be attacking that ball across from the far post. Would have been a layup even for us.
