    Tbf he has said he wants to get his 300th goal (currently on 299).

    Personally think we need an experienced player in each generic position (GK, Defender, midfielder, winger, striker) not only to add some quality to the squad but also to help develop and impart wisdom to the younger players. Not too many mind, 5 maximum.

    I think there are worse players you could take than Billy Sharp, even at 50 years old. He could probably guarantee 10 goals in a decent side off the bench. Imagine him on the end of some of Hernandez’s pull backs.

    Well, id give him a year contract - after all, the rest of our strikers usually manage one goal in a season, so he will fit right in - Go Billy Go 😁👍💜

    Thats incorrect, he has never stated that, he is contracted to Port Vale for 2026/ 2027,  the newspapers recorded it as an option to play . He has always stated his support to PVFC and luvs the club and the fans. His only motivation is to play , score and win. Given the option , but it's not his choice anymore,  it's the mananagnent and club that decide. They want him, he stays. motivated and fighting for his starting place, Brady doesn't want him then.........

    Wonder if we will see the retained list today?

    Then we will know who is left in the squad and how JB and Co plans to build for next season.
