Jog my memory please. Did we have a lot of rain in  between the Screenshot_20260213_211319_com_opera_browser_BrowserActivity.jpg.765d8279c78b709aa52cff54dd984d38.jpgBurton and Stockport games? Because towards the end of the Burton game here, the pitch doesn't look that bad. 3 days later and it was abysmal.

I was thinking that.

Might have to go cap in hand to Burton or someone and ask to play home ties there.

Can’t happen. Twice as many games would soon trash there pitch.

This season will be memorable for the wrong reasons unfortunately. End it now to save more blushes. ( From a concerned and long lasting vale fan) On and off the pitch

Rochdale have had to ground share for a few weeks, pretty sure Hereford or someone are as well. Can’t imagine we’d ask Stoke or Crewe surely, we’d never hear the end of that.

But as above it wasn’t that bad v Burton, then Tuesday it just seems to have massively deteriorated further and now it’s unplayable.

Not quite sure if it doesn’t improve what else we can do. We simply don’t have the space to fit more fixtures in.

It's almost poetic given our performances.

Playing Tuesdays and Thursday would be impossible on this pitch unless April is really dry or we use blotting paper.

Well the fact it was called off 24 hours before kick off despite it being largely dry from that point until kick off says a lot, normally you’d say in 24 hours of dry weather it should be able to be worked on and drain enough to play but clearly it’s so bad it won’t happen to make that call.

You don’t

I’d suggest that I and others that pay to watch PVFC play at ST6, actually do contribute towards the landlords rent.
1.So if I might ask, who do you pays the rent.?

2. Who do you think are the landlords of VP.?

We let Lard play at VP when the roof of the Butler Street stand was damaged.

Well, the wife was annoyed but I'm ok with it!

It must absolutely knackered to be called so early and with good weather today as well. Honestly, in a few years from now there will be a podcast with someone like Byers, after retirement, talking about his career and he will be asked 'when was the maddest point of your career? Well, when I was at Port Vale.....'

Guy who thinks buying a pint at at the hotel bar gets a room

Suns blazing here in ST6, did we call it off too early?

Oh well, at least I can watch the rugby later (live). 🏉

I think it will be three games a week in April. Won’t matter much by then results wise for us, but may affect the teams we are playing.
