I get that but I’d argue both Clark and Paton are better than the players playing in their positions today. Neither have been given a chance under Brady. Neither will command any decent fee if they go and both actually effort in which can’t be said about most of the others.

We are passed that point mate.

This is about football business and running costs rather than ability or Mitch would be in the match day squad. Paton I would argue wouldn’t.

What happened to our new defender signing? Presumably not yet match fit?

Stockley won't be picked to start because he is just so slow and he won't want to play with 10 men for the majority of the game.

Haven't seen enough of Brown to suggest he can lead line on his own.

I'm distraught about Paton as he's up there for assists in the league this season and he can deliver a ball in but not fancied. He's not a main striker and not the most pacey though so I can see why he might not be fancied.

Really not looking forward to hanging our hopes on games with 2 loan strikers leading the line as we surely will have to recruit one before the window shuts.

Looking at that starting 11 I think they struggle to give Harrogate a game.

Don't all rush to give your predictions of how many Vale will win by... :whistling:

Posted in another thread that Vale are perverse enough to win this one and keep the painful flame of hope alive.

I'll go for a low-scoring away win: Orient 1 - 2 Vale.

Just clocked that Shorrock played for the academy today at Morecambe.

George Hall is our best available player of a bad bunch he is on the bench. Stockley has shown far more than Brown & given how our midfield played last week, I'd be happy to give Walters a go.
G Hall should be playing. I agree.

Would say that todays starting 11 contains 5 possibly 6 players that should not make a starting 11 next season in league 2

You're correct I'm sure. It's about financial planning for League Two next season.  Sadly, unless we have some super-rich (a la Wrexham) owners, we'll all have to accept that the Championship is going to be well out of reach. We shall collectively accept what historically as mainly been the case for PV and settle for yo-yoing between the bottom 2 divisions.  Just hoping that we avoid being dropped into the National league 🤞

George Hall ? Brady not exactly endearing himself is he.

I fear for PVFC, I really do.

Looks like a very tight and conservative line up has been selected. Brady said he builds off clean sheets, so expect a sit-in approach.

Oh god im going to be so wrong at 5pm, but I think this team has a good number who will be willing to do the running - personally i didnt see funso shirking last week unlike Shipley - so for me its a functional and balanced side mainly full of willing runners - re G Hall, he was rubbish last week, and as much as I like him, on that basis he is right to be on the bench.

Going for a non-Moore Bore nil all Draw 👍👍👍😁

And thanks for the advice on curling one out for myself - unfortunately the neighbours are outside at the moment, and I like them 😂😂😂😂😂

Wrote this season off now.  We are down and at a whimper.

I fear next season already.  Will JB and Co rebuild a team that can bounce back to Lg 1.  Will Carol provide the funds?  Will the recruitment team actually find players capable and will Matt and JB sell the club to the players we need?

That sounds exactly like Mr Moore’s ethos.
