Paton is not the answer but he’s far clear of Brown. So if we get rid of Paton and keep Brown I’ll be quite annoyed.

They probably don't have a choice with Brown. He's played a league game for Derby. It's quite likely Derby have a recall option but we don't have an option to send him back in the contract, as Derby can't loan him out to another EFL side.

Looks a decent 11 on paper. Especially the front 3. We're desperate for some creativity in the middle of the park though but it feels like I've been saying that for years.

I’d tell Derby he can either rot in our reserves or rot in theirs, their choice.

Not sure I understand the omission of Walters. We have no CMs on the bench. Moore did that earlier in the season when Humphreys had to go in midfield after an injury, and we fell to pieces.

Not really we will probably end up paying his wages; or whatever percentage has been agreed. If you get a reputation for not sticking to contracts no club will loan you players. He did quite well first half at Mansfield,  so poor like everyone else second half.

What should we do? Cheer when we lose? Say well done?

not sure why Carol or anyone else connected the club should be praised at the moment.

All about context mucker. If you think that moaning about the inevitable will help then let's all moan and put it right.

Not saying we won’t stick to his contract. I’d just tell Derby they’ve sent us a shitter, so he won’t be playing for us going forwards. We’d still pay him.

He was dreadful first half. His finish for his 1 on 1 was truly pathetic. No wonder he’s not scored a league goal.

Don't think we have much choice with the players at our disposal other than to go 5 in midfield and try and be solid. That second half at Mansfield must have been a real eye opener for Brady and how brittle we are all over the pitch.

Cole as captain is a very bizarre choice

Come on lads, decent crowd in

Guard of honour from the past players welcoming the team onto the pitch.

Top class, wonderful to see.

Come on Vale.

Should’ve scored there. As usual

That’s two good chances in the first 3 mins wasted as per.
