Dry all day Friday and pretty much all day Saturday. It should be absolutely fine.

I know it'll be a crap crowd, last Saturday before Christmas.  And it's a 5 hour round trip in the car.  But, I feel I need to be there!

COYV!

I told the wife I'd got 13 likes, she quipped, are those the 13 going with you? 😬

Stating XI the same… as much as possible that is. Hopefully at least either Byers or Ojo to be fit, Walters and then Croasdale to replace if necessary.

The bench is what we need to address next however.

1. Please do not put Faal AND Stockley on the bench. What’s the point in having two target players? It’s madness to play both and yet we seem to bring them both on.

2. Curtis. He is a game changer. Why he isn’t at least on the bench when we have finally started to play with wingers is baffling.

3. Recall Rico Richard’s in Jan. may not be a world beater but with three behind the striker he’s a good option to have off the bench. We at least need to bring in additional wingers/no. 10s.

4. Hopefully Clark and Gordon are getting back to fitness so we have options at full back.

My bench: Gaucci, Humphries, Clark*, Croasdale, Walters**, Curtis, Brown

* if not injured

** Shipley or Stockley if needed to start.

5. Sack the manager regardless of results.

Steve Evans to Brizzle while we fiddle as Rome burns. The ideal candidate for me to get us out of this mess and now he's gone. Imho, we may well come to bitterly regret this missed opportunity.

When I mentioned him as the best candidate I could think of a few weeks back, I felt a little bit sick. I'm quite glad I won't have to pretend to like him.

Arguably the fire is currently contained in Circus Maximus and while it may make it to the Palatine Hill soon, there's a small but busy window in which to extinguish it.

Probably best we have the pitch inspection now, don’t want the Posh fans setting off.

We need to win this, lads. We can’t keep not winning.

You can make your chin-stroking arguments about 28 games left and no must-win games in December, but if we keep on not winning the rot and malaise will set in and we’ll be too far back to even think about survival. We aren’t going to go on promotion-winning sort of runs, so we can’t leave the wins much longer. We need a bit of wiggle room.

We cannot be 10+ points from safety whilst trying to recruit players. We can’t be needing playoff level form to even consider staying up after half a season of record-breakingly poor results.

Posh and Hudds. Needs to be minimum 4, ideally 6 points from them. The latter are in as poor form as we are. If we can’t pick up points there then it’s time to start planning for League 2. We’ve got 36 points to pick up and it needs to start Saturday, not mid January when we need to deliver 6th placed results.

We simply have to consider winning games of football fairly soon. This can’t go on.

As one of the posters who is saying ... its not a MUST win match.

I still stand by that comment because its FACT.

However, i agree with you that we have to start winning soon.  So, Saturday will be a lot happier if we do win!

The good news is I’m sure DM will be eager to show Huddersfield exactly what they’re missing……🤔

And I am sure even if he tries his best the vast majority of Huddersfield fans will be singing his name throughout the match . Bit like Doncaster did and adding "your football is not to our liking " .  Who will come out on Top 1000+ vale fans singing his praise (???) or the whole of Huddersfield disagreeing.  Close call for me.

Could have the unusual situation of 2 sets of fans singing the same song in tandem

We have too approach it like its a must win game .

DMs in game subs have too strengthen the performance ,if going well ,and he needs keep it fresh so he as to have all possibilities on the bench v Luton his subs it seems turned a game we were going win into a game we happy draw when better side

He does  have a habit of poor substitutions and he mustnt be allowed too make the subs he should leave the subs too a lorne streeter or Delaney

Simply the support needs too attend and encourage

The new system is working well because of the players .

Like Joe says its about winning cause it is, we must be brave and bring that about happening if do ill be delighted

Last home game of the year

Blimey DD, try The Forresters top of Smallthorne Bank, save yourself at least £2.00 a round, I'll even buy them for you if you care to call in

(Sorry to go off-topic Rob but over a Season DD could save quite a bit to spend in the club shop 😉)

It will be interesting to see how quickly he turns things around at Bristol.

Vale need to advertise the offer as its barely been mentioned anywhere. It won't attract many if any more people if nobody knows about it. Crewe have a offer on for there game Friday night and they are basically putting updates on tickets sold stands sold out ect at various points in the day. I dont think vale have even advertised the 10 pound offer since they announced they were putting it on 2 or 3 weeks ago.

My kids have got Team Valiant memberships and I’ve got the 1876, and I’ve been emailed twice as it’s apparently a Team Valiants fixture, so the kids get free tickets, but really helpfully you can’t do it online… the club seriously needs to get into the 21st century.
