Playing some nice stuff but we’ve got nothing up front given the selection, can only see us scoring from a set play. Byers started really well

No offence mate  playing good stuff dunner get points on the board  but playing an attacking brand of football will give you more of a chance

Still scratching my head with that lineup.

2-2-3-2-1? It would be nice to get away with 9-1-1!!!

I’m happy with the formation and I think 9 or the 11 pick themselves.

The only two up for debate IMO are Garrity and Headley for Hall and Curtis.

So is it really that much of a random team selection? I don’t think it is.

If this was the line up and hall was in for Hadley I’d be all for it.

I would argue however that it’s more 5-4-1 with Garrity and Headley on the wings with John and Johnson behind them

Your comment sums up my thoughts on formations.

Is it 3 4 2 1   or is it   5  4  1    ---- means absolutely nothing!!!

Its what the players do in their so called positions and is the right player in their position to do the job required.

I'm not happy with it and  yes it's  a defensive team selection

Brilliant play from Kyle.

Johnson is excellent

Give it a rest a while. Lets see how the game goes. 15 mins and looking good

Pointless having an attacking brand of football if we cannot get hold of the ball

But we’re away from home at one of the league favourites, so is setting up pretty defensive really that surprising?

Everything I want to see from a player who wears the vale shirt. Kyle John take a bow.

Byers looking really sharp.

Shame about that block, destined for the back of the net that.

Also, based on these first 16 minutes, are we playing really defensive?
answer honestly.

Unlucky there, decent headers, decent saves

Come on Vale, need to take the chances your creating.  Their goalie has made some cracking saves to keep them in the game.

Darren drops two players in GHall and Paton who were different gravy against Maldon and Tiptree and Puts Garrity who's been diabolical the last few games and Headley in forward positions , Darren you should be renamed Dipstick Because that team selection screams out he's looking for damage limitation 2day  it's a proper negative team selection, imo

Yes, but you are a little Stokie t**t who is continually trying to harm Vale, so your "imo" is of no consequence whatsoever.
