The Rico one the whole timeline from when he signed and DM did that whole speech to him about how L1 would suit him better then loaned him out to L2 just comes across as very incoherent. I can only guess we haven’t recalled Rico as there is a set window during January in the loan agreement to activate it.

I think things like this are the best argument for a DOF to handle that sort of stuff as much of this hasn’t made sense.

I don't think stuff like that justifies a higher wage than the manager I think the assistant manager can handle all of that for a lot less money.

Surely there's a quality, impactful, young winger stuck in no man's land at a Prem/Champ Club, chomping at the bit to get playing time on loan at a club like the Vale who would look after him.

A player who would relish displaying his skills in the wide open spaces of Vale Park, make a name for himself in front of admiring fans and be part of the great escape.

At this moment in time Plant and Shorrock aren't the answer, if only they were.

In a similar vein to Dan Gore? He worked out really well for us...

We need strengthening if we are to avoid relegation !!

Great to bring Plant and Shorrock back if JB wants to take a look, no issue and sensible.

They are not the answer and we need much more than they have to offer.

Good loan players may be the only answer. Big risk to pay over the top prices for league one players and wages and then if we are relegated, what then.

Thats the conundrum we find ourselves in, gamble and push the boat out in an attempt to stop up, or, look at next season ? This is where the club have have failed, Moore should have gone far earlier, it would have given us a clearer picture.

Still think we would have needed to spend big money to stay in league 1 , even if Moore did go 5 games earlier. We are short of good players to avoid relegation

A lot of lads aren’t bothered now.

They are on huge sums of money, pampered and don’t want to go on loan where they are exposed to much inferior facilities and kicked, pinched and pull in men’s football where the ball goes long and they have to run harder for longer and be more aggressive rather than the sideways and backwards keep ball training matches.

The money a young lad can have now from being in Cat 1 academy until 23 sets them up for life.

True - but we are even less appealing now, where we are cut off from those immediately above rather than’in the relegation pack’. Not many players will relish this scenario.

Yes I know, that is why I said "in the same vein as" He is the same age as Plant and has played half as many adult games. Lots of Premiership youngsters with similar lack of mens football available I expect.

At least you don’t mean getting injured after an hour and then never playing for us again 😄

Not sure it was his fault he got injured.

Seems to doing OK now.

Certainly not in just over half a game.

Can’t plan for a muscle injury.

For what it’s worth I think he was trying to hard to impress in his first game.

Always thought it was tough on him because like arblaster and devine he’s obviously a good footballer
