FA Cup rule changed, a player can play for 2 different clubs in different rounds I have read recently.

They have changed the cup rules this season whereby a player can play for 2 different clubs in different rounds.

What I'm trying to understand on this is were we at least monitoring his opportunities there and given Chester have wasted all our time on this why didn't we recall him earlier and look if another club preferably in the NL would be interested? Seems pretty poor management of the player from us and DM specifically in hindsight.

I think Jack has been managed really badly over the last 2 years. He is far from the finished article (some of his harsher critics on here seem to delight in pointing out his shortcomings) but he has qualities which a decent manager would manage and develop.

Hoping he now has one in place

Is Plant out of contract this summer?

Don’t think so, Crosby gave him an extension to 2027.

Plant has played at league 1 level and scored goals. He has been playing mens football regularly since. I think we need to see him play again before writing him off. He is also "one of our own" and might help to reconnect the club and fans.

He has been playing men’s football in the national league. That level of ability will not keep us in league 1.

So i had listen too JBs after match v Fleetwood and he only half answered a question ,when reporter asked about Debrah ,Garrity, and Curtis

He said about Curtis ,in the statement we dont want people here who dont want be here, was that aimed at Garrity also as didnt answer why he was injured

I think Garrity is just a crock and he’s been mardy and crap all season anyway. Get rid. Used to love him but he’s pissed me off with his performative misery.

At least someone understands it

Again plant and shorrock are not the answer

If they were good enough they wouldn’t be out on loan in non league

The amount of people who don’t seem to be grasping the situation is staggering

I think his statement was aimed at anyone and everyone from players to backroom staff to grounds-people to cleaners and anyone in between.

He might play better with better players around him.

Why don't we sit back, allow the new manager to assess these players and make his own decisions.......after all isn't that what he's here for ?

Plant and Shorrock may not indeed be the answer, but they may be part of the solution.

They might have not been part of DMs plans. He brought in his players from his previous clubs. That’s what he wanted. He might not have wanted them in his system. ‘Trust the process’ type thing.

I'm pleased they are back. In AC/DC season (see what I did there?!) they brought a bit of youthful spark and zeal to the squad.

So why’s been playing for no body better than Yeovil over the past 2 seasons ?

Soon after Mark Robbins came to Stoke he brought back Lowe from Walsall on loan to assess him. He didn’t really play for Stoke before being loaned out again. Can see the same happening with Shorrock and Plant.

Whilst you are at it, can you let us know who you think is going to win the 1993 FA Cup Final ?
