It's been happening ever since DM arrived.  Too defensively minded. Only have to look at our lack of goals since he arrived!

RS said earlier that under Moore we've only come back to win ONE game when having gone behind.

An absolutely pathetic statistic.

It's more than good enough. Otherwise we would be getting outplayed every week which hasn't been the case. We just obviously need someone who can put the ball in the back of the net.

So you're saying the striker

recruitment was top notch then ?

Walters and Richards have both been almost criminally underused this season so far.

We’re basically going to spoil Richards. I love him as a player, but to me it feels like a completely pointless signing as we don’t play the system he’s most suited to.

At last

Too little too late

Soon as they scored it's been like the players are going through the motions and have no belief they'll get back into it. A crying shame after such a decent first half.

He’s <ovf censored>. Utter <ovf censored>. Was <ovf censored> at Mansfield last season yet some think he’s a baller because he puts a bit of effort in. Williamson is a good comparison

I got called mean for not “giving him a chance” after it was fairly clear after the 1st match he was never going to be good enough.

If Sproson's comment on the Tolaj move is true, its been on the books for a couple of weeks - so would not have been a surprise to DM and Co.

Hopefully DM and Co have been busy looking for a replacement or 2 replacements.  Just don't see the Mo - Waine partnership being the answer.  2 players learning their trade and thrown in to the deep end and at the moment drowning.

If it's bin on the cards for a few weeks why weren't replacements lined up ready for when he left then

There's dire and this performance at the moment.  Vale just like kids playing football against men and just not anywhere near the ball.  We are 3rd best to the ball as 2nd would mean we are getting near Doncaster players.

Come on Vale.

And yet this season people seem to be of the view that we have been on top, creating chances, but just not putting them away.  That doesn't sound like a defensive mindset to me.

Because you can't write off a player after 1 game.

They've got to show more backbone and fight

I am of the view that Moore has never been the guy to sustain league 1 football, let alone get us to the Championship. His defenders can only point to us getting promoted out of league 2, which was heavily Carol assisted.

Having said that would we have sold Tolaj for 1.2m in league 2 if we had stayed?

I am happy to see what he can do with the money if he gets it all for the squad.

Moore has generally bought well but I’ve never felt he has been a man of tactical nous or actually bringing the best out of what he has.

Although I am shocked at just what a gap there is between what clubs are happy to spend between the divisions.

He bought well last season, he’s had the backing again this season, still bit early to say for definite but the signs are that we’ve been poor in the transfer market this season. For me, he does not get the best out of the squad he has, poor team selections, crazy subs too often and far too negative.

If he’s bringing Rico on the surely we are going to change to 4-3-3?

Come on Vale, let’s do a Stevenage, we can win this!
