AFC Wimbledon vs Port Vale match thread - 26th April

If we win 0-1 we'll all be saying it was a Moore masterclass.

If we lose 1-0 many people will be asking why we didn't go for it and try to impose ourselves more against far from great opposition.

I mean it was always likely to be a tight game. But do think we played well within ourselves that 45.

Frantic and nervy, ball like a hot potato.

I'm with Sprowy in that their defenders don't look too comfortable on the ball and have a mistake in them.

Draw would be OK 'cause if Walsall lose we're up, big half coming up.

Coventry also had a man sent off vs Luton. Still 0-0 though.

But surely Walsall are due to win eventually

To be fair Wimbledon have beaten most Of the top teams at home this season. This was never going to be a game that we controlled from start to finish. Have faith Valiant

Bradford’s red card was for dissent AFTER the HT whistle 🤣🤣🤣 Alexander had already gone down the tunnel so didn’t see it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Bet that was awkward.

Walsall will win today, no doubt.

Maybe, all sorts of scenarios still possible, Vale win obviously the best for Vale.

At this moment we are another point further ahead of Bradford and Walsall.

Stating the obvious I know, but I'm sure we'll create something second half and hopefully we convert

Come on Vale

YES.....

September 2028.....

Going up as champions is overrated. Forest Green did it the year we went up and look where they are now 😁

Avoid defeat, let Accrington be good chaps and destroy Walsall and we’re good

We need an attack minded midfielder on. These are very nervous at the back, but when the ball does eventually come off Tolaj or Stockley the midfield is about 30 yards away from the loose ball. I would take Byers off for Curtis, and keep going.

We are not passing it well on this tight pitch. Muscular defending by them, aided by the Ref, has subdued us.
Nothing between the sides, we need for flair to break the deadlock.

Set pieces for them are tidy

No... I win 37k if we go up as Champions. So no negativity please 😘
