Hate to disappoint you chaps, but we will NOT be taking it easy on Friday and saving ourselves for the last 3 games, no way. And if we show the same heart and desire as we have done over the last two games then we are going to give you one hell of a game.

Most home 'seat' tickets have sold, but I think there is, at least at the moment, a number of terrace home tickets for sale, which means they will probably not open up the Pettril End, for either set of supporters. Think we're looking at a 10,000+ crowd.

If the same Vale turn up with the same consistency and performance that put Crewe, Bradford, Walsall and Bromley to the sword then I think you could sell out the stadium 10 times over and Vale will come away with the 3 points.  I do hope Carlise stay up, I have some good history with the city.

Fancy us to win by a decent margin after conceding first early on just to make it interesting.

odds on 5-1 after going 1 down @sheffield61

Because in their position, they cannot afford to not prioritise every game. They can't give up on any points.
I think this is going to be a tough close game

Having 6 points less than Accrington, where they play on Monday is crucial to them. An energy sapping game trying to compete with the Vale may be to their detriment.

How do you know that they will not prioritise the easier games? are you one of the coaches?

The maths is pretty simple my friend, we're 6 points behind and an inferior goal difference to Accrington.

Simples really!!!!

They’re not really in position to look at things like that. What if they did take it easy on this one and then Accy got a point at Salford? That’d leave them dead and buried before the game kicked off on Monday.

Going to be tough, they did a decent job on us in the first fixture and now have someone in Hughes who seems a better manager for their situation than Williamson did. That said top v bottom and if we do our jobs properly should get a result.

Do you think you have been taking it easy in some games or do you think you are bottom of the league cos you are a poor side ?

If they give up on our game they will only have 3 games left to get the 6 points needed to go above Accrington. Too much of a risk. If they lose to us, Accrington will only need a draw on Monday and it will be all over for them as their goal difference is a lot worse

To be honest, we want them to give it a go as it will open it up a bit. If they try to sit and get a point...not that much use to them. They have to go for three points. If that knackers them for Monday, so be it but they need to attack. Their fans will demand it too. Interesting game and we have to impose ourselves again to get the points.

Without beating Accrington they have little chance.

If they attack on paper that plays well for us as we can use the space and as you saw with Bromley if on it then it could get messy, it may pay off if we have an off day defensively and or up top so its a gamble worth taking, they may as well risk us battering them 3 or 4-0 and have a go than sit in for a 0-0 and possibly lose it by the odd goal and not be able to get back into it and go down with a whimper.

That said I would imagine in reality it will be between the two and will be fairly positive but not as gung ho as suggested as we get a couple of early goals that kills the crowd noise and we can if we choose then do what we do very well usually and just shut the game down.

As I say from our point of view just do what we have been doing lately and put in a professional performance and not let the crowd dictate the occasion and hopefully our quality will come through, teams now we are out of the injury crisis (touch wood) now have to contend with the fact we have as the Bromley manager put it "Riches" to come on with Curtis, Byers, Rico Richards etc..

If you're the same bluebry as on the Carlisle forum, I looked up the comment quoted in the "From a Port Vale fan" thread.

It was posted by a kid. "Just get this stuck on the changing room door Mr Hughes >:D" might be an over-reaction!

Love how we've got a Carlisle fan chatting a Chesterfield fan on a Port Vale forum!

A "Chesterfield fan" that I would put money on being a fan of Robbie Earle's hairstyle as well...
