On another day though Vale score why does it take 80 mins for them take risks take risks earlier, if it leads to opposition score like today least there still loads of time for Vale score 2 goals today we still equalised so all good .

So we were trying so hard win the game ,that's how it's got go now roulette you gamble or you carry on with dull ,insipid defensive structure because there must be players who cannot be trusted in ranks then if we have to put all our game into defensive structure as after watching Connor Hall I don't think we need 8 defensive back players he should tell them f--k off up front .

Byers is a complete waste of money. If you’ve got 7 grand a week to spend on someone in League 2, you go and get a Mullin or another striker of his ilk. Not a ball playing midfielder who doesn’t score goals, isn’t directly involved in creating chances and needs players of L1 or Championship quality around him to show him at his best. The lad’s clearly the most talented player we’ve got but he’s borderline useless to us. 

Someone made a good point further up about Byers (rightly) thinking he’s a lot better than the rest of the team and holding on to the ball as a result. He clearly only trusts a select few players to have the ball off him and as a result holds on to it because he think he’s better off doing that. The issue with that is that if he’s going to do it, he needs then to beat a man and make something happen himself which he doesn’t.

Going back to Port Vale would you be happy if they finished in playoffs ?

As long as we go up, I will take that but I think with the squad we had and the backing Moore has had we should be finishing top 3.

So because of the backing finishing outside the automatic promotion places would be seen as a disappointment in your eyes ?

Let’s be honest, the last three results have shown that this team/squad isn’t good enough to get promoted.

I won’t be disappointed as long as we go up. 

Whatever happens, next season we have to restructure the midfield to suit Moore’s style. We need at least 2 players in the Garrity mould, not more holding mids trying to do a job. If he’s injured or needs to manage minutes, we can’t be making do. That has been the single biggest issue this season and should have been addressed in January.

Makes it even more frustrating that we didn't capitalise by putting in better performances against 2 struggling teams, Tranmere and Harrogate.
