    Spoke this morning with some fans of DM from his previous club.  They had nothing but good things to say about him and were sad when he left.  This was due to differences with the owner.  If Vale fans give him a chance we would have a great manager there and get back up the leagues.

    Top of the league and 2-0 up we should be cruising but being the Vale we are never comfortable

    Played well within ourselves since going 2 up which is dangerous against a useful team. Need to get back it and get that killer third.

    It's a great result if it stays at 2 - 0. But I'm getting a bit greedy and wanting my nephew Brandon Cover to get another. Might be even more greedy and wish he gets his hat trick. Port Vale still top of the league. Marvellous

    Think we’ve been poor since second goal. Terrible decision making all over the pitch, been wasteful with quite a few promising attacks. Also giving the ball away very cheaply.

    Heneghan has to come on for me, we are getting dominated in the air at the back. Even when we win it it’s not convincing and they’re picking up the second balls.

    I'd love him to get another 3 or 4 but can he do it in the 1st 10 minutes of the 2nd half so that I can relax please😁

    I'm not used to this I'm normally at the game just illness stopped me from attending today and it's murder!

    Good to get to HT without conceding.  That's the trouble with scoring early goals.  You protect rather than increase what you have, it's subconscious often.  And the other side have nothing to lose whatsoever. 

    Rudge always said leading 2-0 was a very dangerous scoreline.  Hopefully DM will give them all a kick up the ass now, and we'll come out fighting again.

    Loved watching him kiss the badge when he came over to the Lawn Street. Please Carol and can we buy him.

    Can't ask for more than that, great play by Vale produced two goals, Ripley make brill save and post saved us when we needed it to.

    Croasdale immense, everyone else just very, very good.

    These are still dangerous, don't let 'em back into it Vale.

    Funniest line was from Bowers, "I'm not used to this", many a true word.........
