Didn`t he pick up his 15th booking yesterday which would mean he will not be playing for 5 games?.

 

It was his 13th booking and he needs another 2 before he gets a three, not five, match ban.

Which people have you spoken to and who is their source ? Considering you don't attend, melv, then forgive me for questioning the validity of your claim.

 

 

I was told this info while i was at the protest and later on by different people.The reason i posted it was because it is well known that this has been an issue with him in the past.I also have not made a comment on how he played have i?The reason i have not made a comment about how he played today was simple,because i didnt see him play.

I've personally bumped into Gary in various local pubs three times in the last month.

 

All three times he was simply enjoying a quiet civilised night out with mates and other players. He certainly wasn't smashed out of his brains like others are suggesting.

 

Give the lad a break.

No doubt he's a good player when fit and wants to play.

 

At the start of the season he looked a quality player and quite possibly one of the best players in the league, if he could keep it together, something that he certainly can't do sadly.

 

Shrewsbury sticks out for obvious reason early on in the season, when he bossed the game and was a joy to watch. He passed it simple, he passed it long and he ran up and down the pitch and got in the 25 yard area where he could pop a shot off and he scored a peach. He also scored against Aldershot at home with a nice 20 yarder. The fitness has gone and he can't run about anymore.

 

It's a shame because he would of been massive for us this season.

ok cheers for that, just thought it was 5 at 15 cus it wasn`t long ago he did a 3 match ban so i thought the more bookings you get the more penalty you pay.

Probably so, but I'm interested to know how all of a sudden, Vale supporters seem to know he has being getting smashed ??

If you compare the Gary Roberts under MA, you will notice that he covered a lot of the grass during games, often popping up on the wing. Since Gannon, Horse and Grew, he along with all the other players, have lost a lot of the fitness that made them appear to be better players.

They are too ****ed to run for lengthly spells. Fitness and stamina is shot to pieces.

 

I very much doubt MA would of doubly ****ed up our season by taking any players off us. Next season could be a different matter, depending where he ends up.

 

Craig there were rumours around the club before Christmas that Adams was considering shipping Roberts out because he had fallen off the waggon. I know these are just rumours but his form in the latter months of Adam' reign was not brilliant. At the Crewe away game, I was told by a Sky reporter that Roberts was telling anyone who would listen that he was off to Sheff Utd with Adams. Gannon didn't rate him and Roberts didn't want to play for him. If Adams had wanted him I'm sure he would have gone.

 

For me, Roberts is a very talented footballer who has flattered to deceive in recent months. How many assists does he have to his name this season? And that's not all down to our strikers not converting the chances he makes!! He could be a great player but to be perfectly honest, he doesn't have the intelligence to realise how good he could be if he behaved himself.

The three match ban was down to a sending off in a reserve game.

Possibly because he is capable of so much better. I agree with you about the general level of performance from some of the players though. I couldn't believe it when Taylor was announced MOTM and not Griffith (or Griffin as Horsfield persists in calling him).
