New Official Website

For me, I got the new site on my Mac and the old site on Windows, behind the same router. What I did to get round it was:

 

1) Clear cache, cookies etc in the browser

 

2) In a command prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns

 

After this, I got the new site in Windows as well. Hope it works for others

within the last 20 mins i have managed to open the official site in its old format new format then the new format with still in administration added !

Me too . Same. Chris Shaw must have stuck it on just.

...perhaps a post on the 'old site' (by the aforementioned Chris Shaw?) might have helped keep the fans informed as to what is going on... a simple "we're not out of Admin just yet, but we are currently updating our official site" post would have done.

it looks like they are literally altering the site as we type and is obviously work in progress . it is changing every 5 mins or so.

I saved the 'old site' in my 'bookmarks' and when just clicked on to it the new style came up,show in the recent friendly match reports and articles on Duffy and Myrie-Williams.

That's always the best way. Live site updates (and making a mess of them) have been my tried and trusted way of updating OVF over many years.

 

Seriously, I should imagine it's a huge job, so best of luck to those undertaking it. Having worked with various CMS over the years, I know just how awkward it can be to get things right, so I think it's only fair to show a little patience with the official site until the folks running it have had time to sort out any issues...

It's abit stupid to presume just because there is a new look site that we are out of admin surely?! Its hardly a renowned way is it?

I agree, it is a stupid thing to presume. Good job I didn't do that or say that in my post. My point was that perhaps Vale could improve their PR very easily.
