Great start with the forever enemies known as  cricket vs rain.  

 

Looks like the first day is a no go. Shame was looking forward to the return of international cricket today.

In it's infancy so far but I enjoyed the finish to Nepal v Netherlands after our game was washed out. Looked like going to the wire but Netherlands smashed 14 off 3 balls having not had a boundary for about 50 minutes. 

England would of been an interesting 10 over smash to get 109 had the rain not intervened .

Typical we got rained off. Mad to put a World Cup in their rainy season but I guess the IPL takes priority. 

Rain ruined a very interesting chase. I’m certain we would have chased that, ground was very small. Still not sure why Jordan is picked every match.

From what have seen of the tournament so far some of the pitches have left something to be desired. It’s a big tournament for Buttler and Mott though after the rather limp defence of the 50 over WC. If my money was going on anyone in this I really like the South Africa team so would go with them.

Truth be told I’m mostly looking forward to the Test matches later this summer but will make for a nice lead up to it.

So Pakistan just done Pakistan things and lost to the USA. Watch them go and tonk the Indians next up though. Brilliant for the Americans though, what a story and a deserved victory.

Had a feeling they would lose after watching them against us. Their batting is hopeless. As above, would be Pakistan all over to go and beat India

USA will only need win one of there 2 remaining group games to get through to the next round. They have India and Ireland left so I'd imagine if they can continue to play as they have been they will beat Ireland. They also beat Bangladesh 2 1 in a mini series prior to this tournament and I saw an article earlier where there hoping to play England in a series later this year.

Looks like will be chasing 200 or thereabouts. Done alright to pull it back after the way it started. Still a tough ask, spin and bowling cutters seems the way to succeed on this pitch.
